Lab Gas Mixtures

The Gas Mixtures solution offers a large set of pneumatic components and moist air models which combination allows the user to model various systems using gas mixtures with up to 20 species. In pneumatic systems where the gas mixture’ s composition along a circuit is an issue, the use of the Gas Mixtures components becomes necessary. This solution allows the user to model phenomena / components like: • Complete pneumatic circuits ( pipes, pipe fitting, valves… ) • Heat exchanges ( heat exchangers, convection… ) • Diffusion phenomena The moist air models complete the solution: the condensation phenomenon can be accounted for with the associated interactions between the condensate and the gas mixture. Features • Model, analyze and design any type of network with a gas mixture up to 20 species without network size limitations using steady-state and transient analysis • Perfect, semi-perfect and real gas assumptions with rigorous handling of gas properties, mass momentum and energy conservation, • Sonic and subsonic flow in orifices with three levels of assumption for the flow coefficient ( constant, Perry, ISO6358) . • Control valves dedicated to the regulation of gas mixture networks. Severe non-linearities and discontinuities are seamlessly handled. • Simulation of porous media and diffusion.
