AMESim Platform Facilities The AMESim Platform offers numerous facilities in terms of usability and increased model scalability. With supercomponents, users have the possibility to “ shrink-wrap” a group of components up, so as to create subsystems. This feature is adapted to complex systems in which topological subsets can be identified. The Interactive Help is always easily accessible. It provides full-text search, all Platform and Library user manuals in HTML and PDF formats, as well as full HTML documentation for every sub-model, utility and demo. Contextual windows allow users to trace any parameter or variable, with no pre-defined declaration. Powerful post-processing features offer a convenient way to define performance criteria. For variant analysis and parameter sensitivity studies, the user can launch batch runs and experiments. It is also possible to trace the changes between system versions with the Compare Systems feature. The AMESim Platform finally offers many personalization features to tune your every-day design environment by defining Favorites for your usual libraries and components. Product Description: Supercomponent facility As a model gets bigger it becomes more and more difficult to find a particular constituent component in it and a single snapshot of the whole system cannot be taken easily. The supercomponent facility overcomes these problems. The principle is to select a group of components and “ shrink-wrap” them into a single icon. For all libraries, there are big advantages in using this approach. Users can simply explore and modify their supercomponents by double-clicking on them, when saved locally in their sketches or when saved in their user libraries. Batch Runs, Experiment Manager and Run Monitor Batch runs help optimizing the parameters of your system. They can be monitored during the simulation by the Run Monitor facility. More advanced simulation combinations can be organized by the Experiment Manager, within a convenient hierarchical representation. This provides better management of the simulation runs since all the sets of use cases can be easily examined, saved and applied back to the system. Post-Processed variables Post-Processing is a powerful facility accessible to users by means of a simple drag-and-drop of any variable into a dedicated post-processing window. The chosen variables can be combined to define expressions of relevant indexes to evaluate the performance of your system. For these expressions, a wide range of mathematical functions and operations ( Sum, Subtract, Root Mean Squares, Minimal or Maximal value … ) is available within a built-in and convenient Expression Editor. The post-processed variables are reusable in the Animation module. Interactive Help AMESim comes with integrated interactive help that is always available and provides the user with useful functionalities such as full-text search, index and the possibility to add bookmarks. It gives access to all Platform and Library manuals both in HTML and PDF formats and to the HTML documentations of all the submodels and utilities available. Tutorial examples, demos and videos are also provided to ensure a quick start for new comers and efficient productive work for end-users.
