SAMCEF Buckling Analysis lets you solve the Euler’ s stability problem. After a linear static problem, it provides users with the critical factor of loading. Combine with non-linear analysis; it can give the critical factor of an increment of load applied to the structure.SAMCEF Buckling Analysis also allows the decomposition of loading in a constant part ( e.g. weight) and a proportional part ( e.g. wind effect) .
It offers complete choice of monolayer or multilayer elements whose material can be isotropic, orthotropic, anisotropic or composite. Elements combined or not, can be volume, shells, axisymmetric. Combined with the introduction of a modal imperfection; it can evaluate the sensitivity to initial defection.
If contact conditions are defined for static analysis, an automatic procedure let’ s take them into account in the stability problem: closed contacts are considered as fixed and open contact are supposed to be free.
